What's new in Mission Control 3.0.5

The latest release of our collaborative decision management system is now available and it includes some great new features and enhancements. You can now dispatch incidents to operators more efficiently and benefit from new document management capabilities, whether your team is working in the operation center or out in the field.

Dispatch incidents to available operators only

Effective response time is critical to managing incidents. Operators occasionally run into issues that prevent them from managing incidents or sometimes they need to step away from their desks for a time. Version 3.0.5 includes a user status button that operators can set to “not available” so that incidents are only dispatched to those who can respond to them immediately.

Easily switch incident types as situations evolve

Incidents can evolve as you investigate them. An alert about an offline camera can turn out to be an active intrusion. You need to adapt quickly as situations develop. Version 3.0.5 helps speed things up by allowing you to switch incident types on the fly. It also facilitates investigations later on since everything will be captured within one report including the work that was done before the change of incident type.

Attach documents during incidents

Adding reference documents is an important part of setting up incident response procedures. For example, you can include an emergency contacts list when creating intrusion response instructions.

In certain situations, documents are only available during the actual incident. For instance, a photo of a missing person is only provided when the incident is reported. Genetec Mission Control™ 3.0.5 allows documents to be attached at any time during the incident so that new information can be shared with the rest of the team.

You can also leverage this feature to attach external forms that must be filled out during incidents. This reduces information silos while adding additional artifacts to incident reports.
