The challenge
Years ago, facing many connection lags and maintenance issues, the Vantage team found that their existing video and access control systems were no longer measuring up to their standards. Having separate video and access control systems further slowed workflows. Operators needed to log into the different systems, navigate between them, and piece the video and access control information together. Their security systems were also proprietary, hindering the team's ability to incorporate additional technologies to improve their operations.

Having all physical security information in one centralized view has made it easier for operators to see what’s happening and simplified training for new operators.
Cybersecure platform
Operators actively use the Health Monitoring dashboard and the Security Score widget, which points them to any outstanding issues or opportunities to harden their physical security systems.
Heightened operational efficiency
Using Mission Control™, operators quickly address the most pressing situations. The system guides them through standard operating procedures and automatically creates incident reports.
Custom business integrations
With the Genetec SDK, Vantage developed a Soft Pin plugin. This helps the team compile data and metrics from various systems and track key performance indicators across the business.

Results
Vantage first installed the unified physical security platform at one location. Soon after, the team decided to standardize with Genetec™ Security Center across all their global data center sites. To date, they’ve deployed Security Center across 19 data centers, with more slated for upgrades. Though each site operates independently, the configuration and management of all systems are standardized.
Within Security Center, the team is managing hundreds of cameras, doors, cardholders, intercoms, and other sensors per location. They’ve also integrated a key management system and power solution within the platform. This gives them a consolidated view of what’s happening throughout their environment, enabling prompt response to triggered alarms or emerging incidents.
