Contest terms and conditions
This document outlines the terms and conditions that apply to the 2024 State of Physical Security Survey contest if participants opt in to being part of the draw.

In this document we will use the terms “Genetec”, “us”, “our” and “ours” in reference to Genetec Inc., a Canadian corporation having its main place of business at Genetec at 2280 Alfred Nobel Boulevard, Montreal, QC, H4S 2A4, Canada. We will also use the words “you”, “your” and “yours” in reference to any person who accesses or uses any of our websites or their content. Finally, we will use the word “content” in reference to any material, such as text, audio or video files, electronic documents, images, and any other content that may be uploaded, imported into or otherwise made available through our portals or any services made available through them in connection with the use of these portals or services.
Contest eligibility
The draw is randomized and will take place on September 18, 2024
You may be eligible to participate while the survey is open from August 12, 2024 until September 15, 2024 at 5 pm EST.
You cannot earn more than 1 entry.
Data cleaning will take place before the draw, where invalid or incomplete responses are removed.
To be entered in the draw, you must fill in all the required fields during the survey: your first name, last name, company name, email address, and title, and respond correctly to the math equation. No payment or purchase is necessary to enter.
If you have been selected as 1 of 5 winners, you will receive 2 options. One being to receive a gift card of $500 USD value to spend at MadeTrade.com. The other option being to donate the $500 USD to a charity of your choice among the following: Cancer Research Society, Habitat for Humanity, Make a Wish, World Wildlife Funds.
If you have been selected as a winner and chose the MadeTrade.com gift card, you will need to confirm your email address within 30 days of being contacted.
If you have been selected as a winner and chose to donate, your donation will automatically be given to the charity selected within the survey questionnaire. As the donation will be made by Genetec Inc., no charitable receipt will be issued to you.
Anonymity
Please note that all respondent information, data, and feedback will be kept anonymous. By completing the survey you consent to having Genetec use your survey responses for analysis and possible quotation in our 2025 State of Physical Security Report. Quotations will only be identified by the groupings: user of physical security solution, channel partner, or consultant.
