This eliminates the need to engage with JVA Perimeter Patrol Software on a routine basis and get alerts via GSC.

Automated Control of JVA Electric Fence System in Investigation Mode

Whenever there is an alarm notification in the alarm manager, the security personnel will put it in investigation mode. This automatically disarms the Electric Fence Zone which silences the site alarm and ensures the safety of the security and maintenance personnel on the field. Upon successful completion of the investigation, the security personnel will log the report and the Electric Fence Zone is automatically re-armed making sure that there are no security lapses and detection is active.

Solution Architecture Diagram

The integration solution acts as an information bridge between JVA's Electric Fence and Genetec Security Center. On a high level, the solution has two functions:

1. Interface with JVA Perimeter Patrol and Receive Alarms

• JVA has its own client software called Perimeter Patrol which runs on the Windows OS. The solution uses an API to gain access to Perimeter Patrol with the appropriate credentials.
• Open Alarms generated by the Electric Fence field devices will be received by Perimeter Patrol.
• When the application finds an Open Alarm from any particular zone, it'll extract the necessary details of the alarm and use it to trigger corresponding alarm definitions in Genetec Security Center.

2. Connect to the Genetec SDK Engine and Relay alarms

• When an alarm is triggered in Genetec Security Center, actions configured in the alarm definitions will be executed. These actions might involve moving PTZ cameras to specific presets, pop-up messages for the Security Desk user, Arming/Disarming of the Electric Fence zones, etc.
