This integration allows GSC users to improve the management of video walls using Datapath or Portwell (Matrox) hardware. This solution is composed of two elements: AGC Server and AGC Web. These two elements interact together to manage the video walls, one acting mainly as a client and the other as a server exposing an API. In this context, the plugin that has been developed provides a user interface that allows to execute AGC Web's functionalities directly in GSC.
Our solution is composed of multiple element: A wall of screen, managed by a video controller, and generally a system of control distent. With the Agelec Plugin of Genetec, the distent control becomes the Genetec software, our plugin adds a tab in Genetec to visualize the current status of the screen and allows to add on the wall display a server physique source, or a camera source from Genetec, through the network.

Key Market Application
Currently, our users who use the Genetec software need to have a "computer" with X video output to display X configuration of display of the cameras on a wall, so if they want display a considerable amount of cameras, they need multiple "computer" with the Genetec software and have to change the display of each to change the gloabl wall screen rendering.
With our plugin, the user can display on the wall with an unlimited number of cameras from Genetec software with a unical "computer" with the Genetec software.
It reduces the number of "computer", the number of video wires, and the number of different interfaces to change the video wall display.
Our mutual client are with lots of cameras and a big space to monitor.
Features and benefits
This integration provides the following features:
- List the available sources (Agelec RGB, Genetec Cameras, Genetec Sequences and Agelec Favorites) and show a preview.
- Listing of the sources currently displayed and their location on the wall.
- Display of the current wall with live preview.
- Preset and Mask loading on the wall.
- Modification of the current display by modifying or adding sources to the cells.
- Maximization the content of a cell in full screen.
- Deletion of the sources assigned to the cells in the selected area.
- Allow online or offline configuration.
Solution Architecture Diagram
Our plugin have two kind of interactions with Genetec :
- In the configuration part, a button allow to access to a tab to configure the video wall controler connection (IP/Port etc)
- In the Genetec main part, a button allow to access to a tab to manage the content of the video wall
The configuration only save some information, usable in the Genetec software.
The wall management use the "stream" method provided by Genetec, the Genetec software create a "child" stream to send the video stream of the camera to our video controller.
