The Alcatraz AI Rock delivers frictionless access AND strengthens physical security in an all-in-one biometric device. Powered by machine learning on the edge, the Rock quickly and privately authenticates users at the point of access, detects and alerts to tailgate incidents, and provides actionable insight to support changes in behavior. The Rock is designed to comply with biometric privacy frameworks to simply protect end user privacy and enable customer compliance. The Rock makes accessing secure areas as secure and frictionless as using your face to unlock your smartphone.

Outcomes

The Rock reduces friction at the point of access AND strengthens the security posture of the customer while eliminating the costs and burdens of enrolling and re-enrolling people, enabling a reduction in tailgate incidents, and supporting compliance with privacy regulations. Because it works natively with the ACS, there is no need to rip and replace infrastructure.

Integration with Security Center

The Genetec integration is part of Alcatraz’s Platform and was written entirely using Alcatraz’s Application Programming Interface (API).  The API has made it possible to enable and significantly accelerate the onboarding of face-based identity authentication technology onto a myriad of platforms including access control and IT security. 

In order to maximize the efficiency of existing access control systems, the optional Genetec Integration component of the Alcatraz Platform can be implemented to enable a quick, error-free enrollment process. During enrollment, cardholder data is pulled directly from the access control database, eliminating time and the opportunity for data entry errors. Once enrolled, data is kept in sync, simplifying the administrative process. The Platform also enables intelligent onboard memory management within the Rocks attached to the system. Utilizing an individual's access control permissions, the system is able to determine and distribute face profiles only to doors that are necessary, maximizing the industry-leading onboard storage of 50,000 face templates.
