Use case 1 :
Infant Security in a Hospital birthing unit. The TotGuard system is used to protect against potential infant abduction. Babies have a tag attached to their ankle or umbilical cord. If the tag is brought close to a doorway, the door lock will be engaged, and if the door were to open then an alarm would sound. This alarm event can be configured to automatically bring up a video feed of the doorway which assists staff in assessing whether this is a false alarm or a real abduction attempt. The majority of alarm events are false alarms and the video feed assists staff in quickly diagnosing the cause of the alarm thus reducing 'alarm fatigue'.
Use case 2 :
Wandering Patient in an elder care facility. The AllGuard system is used to generate a warning when a patient with a cognitive disorder such as Alzheimer approaches an exit doorway. This warning can be configured to pop up a video feed in the AllGuard client o assist the staff in viewing the doorway and deciding when intervention may be needed to stop a patient leaving the facility (as opposed to wandering by the doorway).
Use case 3 :
Staff Duress solution in a behavioral Health unit. Staff carry a tag with a push button. If they are threatened by a patient, they press the button which generates an alarm at the monitoring station showing the location of the staff member. A video feed can be triggered by this event which will show the facility staff a visual image of what is occurring so that they can react according to the severity/immediacy of the situation.

- If an event occurs within the AllGuard system (e.g. Exit alarm at a doorway), a video feed will automatically 'pop up' within the AllGuard client alert notification.
- If the user clicks on this video clip, an active video feed will display within the AllGuard UI.
- Video footage of the event is saved in the AllGuard database for future viewing.
- Additionally a message is sent to the Genetec Security Center which will cause the appropriate video feed to be activated within Security Desk.
