Operations Center

Work management built for security

There’s now a better way to manage your security workflows. Genetec Operations Center, now part of Security Center SaaS, is designed to improve productivity, communication, and collaboration across teams.

What is Operations Center?

Genetec™ Operations Center is a work management system built into our unified security portfolio. Developed for security teams, it addresses common issues around collaboration, communication, and documentation. Tasks like security dispatching, work ticketing, and activity tracking typically require multiple systems that are completely independent. This leads to inefficiency and users losing visibility of their work.

Operations Center connects users and teams anywhere in the world, through an intuitive web and mobile experience. It improves communication between team members, enabling real-time collaboration on projects and tasks. It also streamlines the documentation and auditing process, regardless of the type of work being managed.

How it drives operational efficiency

Tasks and projects are tracked on customizable boards to facilitate and assure situational awareness. Managers and supervisors can dispatch incidents, security alarms, and maintenance tasks. With a full view of all their resources and assets, they can now ensure that the right person is assigned, and that they have the right tools at their disposal. This drives greater efficiency and quality of work, and cuts down response time with a more systematic way of managing security operations.

See how it benefits large-scale university deployments

Brigham Young University (BYU) is home to over 34,000 students and 5,000 staff and faculty. To protect the 560-acre campus in the middle of Provo, Utah, campus police and security officers collaborate with the help of Operations Center. With a unified platform in place, they’re able to streamline security operations, proactively respond to potential threats, and react faster.

Part of our unified offering

Operations Center is designed to adapt to and grow with any organization needs, and offers the ability to interconnect to any environment. It is part of the Security Center SaaS offering, and built into the Premium subscription. Also available as a standalone work management solution, Operations Center integrates with our Security Center on premise platform
