Narrow your field of view with watchlists

The Genetec Web App is the successor web interface to Security Center Web Client. Having new and simplified functionalities means a new generation of security operators can narrow their field of view with watchlists, so they don’t miss out on anything important.

It’s great for a user who needs access to a facility’s security system but isn’t a security operator. It allows users to access security as part of their tasks without using a full-fledged Security Operations Center (SOC).

Quickly investigate using just 3 parameters

The new unified report task means you can see events across your system in a single report, no matter the source. You can now run a report by quickly filtering through what you’re interested in, where you’re looking, and when the time of interest is.

This will give you an overview of all activity in the respective area, including video surveillance, access control, alarms, and incidents. For example, a store owner can investigate a break-in by selecting the store where it happened, choosing a timeframe, and quickly honing in on the incident.

Here’s how the Genetec Web App comes in handy

Allows field officers to respond quickly to incidents

Field officers and security guards are responsible for immediate incident response and monitoring several cameras and doors. They need to deal with issues quickly when they arise and might not be equipped to deal with incidents on their own. On the Genetec Web app, they can narrow their field of view with watchlists and follow Genetec Mission Control™ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to remediate a situation. They can also use Genetec Mobile to track other users, coordinate efforts with field officers, and share relevant video feeds from any mobile device.

Helps receptionists investigate incidents

Receptionists are in charge of cardholder management, but just like field officers, they are responsible for intervening in specific situations. In the case of an alarm, they can use the map-based interface to identify entities, redirect traffic, and notify who’s responsible for taking action. On the Genetec Web App, they can pull video footage and provide comments as the situation evolves. They can also lock and unlock doors if they see a disruptor and send a message to the security guard.

Facilitates monitoring for small business owners

Small business owners usually are the ones running the shop and might not have a dedicated space to manage security operations. Business owners can take advantage of this powerful investigation tool accessible within seconds through their browsers. Using the Genetec Web App, they can monitor their shop even when not on-site, ensure doors are locked when needed, and get peace of mind at all hours of the day.
