Several cities and agencies rely on Genetec™ Security Center to manage video operations in their real-time crime center. It allows them to consolidate multiple systems, including federating cameras from public organizations and private partners that also use Security Center. In parallel, many agencies have adopted Genetec Clearance™, the camera registry module to enroll businesses and residential camera systems which facilitate requesting video evidence during an investigation.

Identify and request video recordings from third parties
The latest version of the Clearance plugin offers greater situational awareness and a further integrated experience for organizations using both applications. The update adds the Clearance participants list as a new layer in Security Center Maps. This allows operators to identify participants near incidents they are reviewing, in addition to their security and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) cameras, CAD events, and other feeds. They can then quickly launch the request process in Clearance to collect additional evidence from the scene and reduce investigation time.
