Managing incidents with ease in Mission Control 3.1.1
The latest version of our collaborative decision management system includes exciting new features and enhancements including Genetec Web App compatibility, increased flexibility of incident triggers, and more.
Manage incidents on the all-new Genetec Web App
The new GenetecTM Web App allows users to easily manage incidents using a web browser so they can stay connected from anywhere. This new interface is perfect for roles where low maintenance and ease of access are a priority over having a dense feature set, such as branch managers and reception desk personnel. Using the web app can be more cost-effective since they also don't require any management by the security team since all updates are performed at the server level.
Trigger incidents based on events that happen in any order
The rules engine was enhanced to include the "AND" logic so that a combination of events can trigger an incident regardless of the order in which they occurred. This opens up new possibilities since there are many situations where the event sequence can vary. Suppose you are waiting for motion detection from two cameras to trigger an incident and the room has two entrances. In that case, the incident will be triggered regardless of the entrance used since the "AND" logic will accept the events in any order.
Modify the incident's location as it progresses
The location of an incident may be unclear when it's reported, and sometimes it can progress to different areas. In Mission ControlTM 3.1.1, operators can modify an incident's location as it progresses. Simply select the new location from the area list or drag and drop a pin to the desired new location on the map.
Keep track of time with the "on hold" state timer
Incidents must sometimes be placed on "hold" for a fixed time as an operator waits for a specific condition before proceeding. For example, when a technician is dispatched to repair an entity, they must wait for a call confirming that the work is complete before proceeding. A countdown timer will now be displayed in the incident list and the details pane when an incident state is set to "on hold". Now operators can keep track of the remaining time before they check in on the progress.
